OKAY!  Acting IS tough, but she LOVES  IT!  Even after she realized it had naught to do with a college education. Gayla Graduated with HIGH HONORS from Chico State University, BA in COMMUNICATIONS, Member of ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA SORORITY, and decided  ACTING as the BE ALL career.   Remembering her extensive training in JOB PLACEMENT, Gayla put on a suit, walked into a casting directors office and applied for an acting job!  Well, they were responsive,.. they took her resume, application, 3 letters of recommendations, S.A.T. Scores, a Copy of her BA Degree, and kindly requested to see her nude.  WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD.   Acting still remains her passion,  Gayla has appeared on BEVERLY HILLS 90210 (paramedic), Molony (prostitute), MARTIN (supporting), AMERICA'S MOST WANTED (co-star), PLAYERS CLUB (supporting), and THE PRACTICE (supporting). Gayla has starred in numerous INDUSTRIALS and COMMERCIALS including, Auto Trader, Target, and  a DRUG-FREE PSA.   She is an accomplished Comedienne,  ACTING in many of her Upcoming Stand-up Comedy performances. She has written articles for various magazines and news publications. Along with developing children's stories with the INSTITUTE FOR CHILDREN'S LITERATURE in Redding Ridge, CT.  Gayla writes her Stand-up Comedy Material revealing childhood memories, challenges for women, thankless careers, and cultural diversity.    Her honest, candid point of view is articulated through the atmosphere of STAND-UP COMEDY, TEACHING/COACHING SEMINARS and the completion of several manuscripts and treatments of her own ideas for TELEVISION SHOWS, MOVIES and COMMERCIALS.    Look for her HOSTING and APPEARING in her own SHOW!
